Hunter Branson enters the presidential race.

After months of Senators Clinton and Obama battling for a spot in the presidential election against John McCain, a new candidate has decided to join the fight.

Hunter Branson, a businessman from South Carolina, is being supported by a new political party calling themselves the Brick party.

Branson’s website says the Brick party was formed to find common ground between the Republican and Democratic parties.

“After the 2000 elections a group of young professionals decided to unite a severely divided country. They wanted a party built on a common ground. A party that not only appealed to independents, but also liberals and conservatives who felt their opinions weren't being voiced,” states www.hunterbranson.com.

Branson’s camp says they plan to hit the campaign trail in the upcoming weeks.

“[The Brick Party] feels very strongly that the American people should no longer have to vote for a presidential candidate that is the lesser of two evils. We are so proud to be bringing a candidate to the race that offers far more than the spoon-fed views of an ancient party,” said Branson’s campaign manager, Devon Ament.
