Born in Oak Park, Illinois Samantha ‘Sam’ Hughes spent her childhood immersed in studies and play. Sam was always interested in the political arena and worked throughout school for her local representatives.

In 1984, Sam enrolled at Stanford University to study international relations. There, she was very active behind the scenes of student politics. A semester abroad inspired her to use the standards she learned from countries and imply them in her own. In order to pursue ambitions, she attended Columbia Law School to change the world.

Undecided on where to stand politically, she couldn’t fully align with either democrats or republicans. Finally, after the 2000 Presidential elections, Sam and her fellow professionals got fed up with the two party system and created a party all their own. The Brick party was founded upon the principle that there can be a middle ground. There’s a party for everyone, and the Brick party will listen.

Finally becoming part of the action and being by Hunter Branson’s side as his running mate they can be a voice for the people and unite a nation.
